McCain: Don't Ask, DO Tell

This from the Columbus Dispatch (by way of NRO's Campaign Spot):

"Look, we don't care about an old, washed-up terrorist and his wife," McCain said. "We need to know the full extent of the relationship." Later, McCain told ABC News: "It's a factor about Sen. Obama's candor and truthfulness with the American people."

Why do McCain, and many pundits, insist on putting this to Obama as a question?  It's pointless to ask for information you already know, especially when requesting it from one utterly without "candor or truthfulness" - in short, a liar.

Would someone please tell Senator McCain that we already know what the relationship was - that we already know that Obama shares terrorist Ayers' radical philosophy?

Don't ask him -  TELL HIM !

And TELL the American people!

McCain: Ignore the Stupid Questions

As Andy McCarthy says in NRO's "The Corner", McCain needs to speak not to the "townhall" audience, often filled with the likes of the pony-tailed kid looking for a government daddy in Clinton's townhall, but to all of America.

If the moderator chooses a, well, stupid question, politely, and quickly, bounce off it and get out your message, hitting Obama over and over again.

Some (liberals in the tank for OB) may hate you tonight (who cares, you're rich and a Senator) but more will respect you in the morning.

But Don't Hold Your Breath

But, given McCain's tendency to show anger and outrage to friendly audiences only, and to suck up to his "friends" on the other side of the aisle lest they not like him (as if they do anyway), most likely we will hear Casper Milquetoast feeling our pain ala Bill Clinton, using the same sappy inflections used when, as the GOP's Presidential candidate, pleaded with the country to please, please wear sunscreen when outside.

No Time for Socialism

What we should hear from McCain:

Taking inspiration from Andy Griffith's 1958 movie,

in tonight's debate and for the rest of the campaign,

McCain should stress over, and over, and over:

It's "No Time for Socialism!".

Obama: Have Email, Will Travel

Here's Jonah Glodberg on Obama's ad that claims McCain shouldn't be President because he doesn't know how to send an email:

"... Besides, by this logic, Obama is even less qualified to be commander in chief because, unlike McCain, Obama has never fired a gun, flown a plane or led men during wartime."

I guess Obama's come-back could be that when he (small H) is President, there won't be any wars - but he'll be sending emails galore and typing like crazy on his internet blog (www.blahblahblah,com).

Hmmm.  I wonder if Sarah Palin ever sent an email to a moose asking him to turn himself in ...
